No way will I toss out a Nobel Prize winner in Literature (1950) as this man certainly was ~ however ~ this quote from the book may offer pause and reflection in knowing his writings surely have been championed as humanitarian with the encouragement of freedom of thought . . . anyone interested in self growth, enlightenment/awareness would have bumped into him at some point.<BR/><BR/>Here’s the quote:<BR/><BR/> “Education. should aim at destroying free will so that after pupils have left school they should be incapable throughout the rest of their lives of thinking or acting otherwise than as their school masters should have wished.<BR/><BR/>Diet, injections and injunctions will combine from a very early age to produce the sort of character and the sort of beliefs that the authorities consider desirable and any serious criticisms of the power(s) that be will become psychologically impossible. “<BR/><BR/>Surely “out of context” is dangerous ground ~ a quote from a book.
