The Unsettling Truth About Life

A note from peter@thewealthyattitude.com for Friday August 14, 2009

One of the greatest philosopher's of my time was Alan Watts. For more than forty years, Alan Watts earned a reputation as a foremost interpreter of Eastern philosophies for the West. Beginning at age sixteen, when he wrote essay for the journal of the Buddhist Lodge in London, he developed an audience of millions who were enriched through his books, tape recordings, radio, television, and public lectures.

In all, Watts wrote more than twenty-five books and recorded hundreds of lectures and seminars, all building toward a personal philosophy that he shared in complete candor and joy with his readers and listeners throughout the world. His overall works have presented a model of individuality and self-expression that can be matched by few philosophers.

This short piece based on Alan's observations will undoubtedly cause you to consider where you are in life. Enjoy and share it around.

Hi Peter. Thank you for this video. Although it is short, it is very entertaining and I love the analogy. It isn't the end of the song that we are looking for, it is the "feelings" we have from the music of life that we are here to create. In every musical score, there is a space between notes, this ebb and flow of life is a balance we have to master.
Thank you Peter.

Hi Peter, It´s why I have loved the last 20 months of my life, on the journey, being the gypsy, living all over the world with everything I need in 2 suitcases. It makes everything simple - did I love life today? Did I have fun today? Did I contribute to making the world a better place today? There is something very freeing and enlightening always being on the move as you learn to be in the moment like nothing I have every done before. Loved the video!
